During last night’s home game against the Maple Leafs (another loss), the Washington Capitals handed out Nicklas Backstrom Gnome’s to the first 18,000 fans in attendance.
This prompted twitter to explode with fans taking all kinds of pictures with the Backstrom Gnome doing different things like watching the game, drinking a beer, or otherwise just having a good old gnome time. The Russian Machine Never Breaks has a good photo recap of the best gnome pics from the night.
While this may not have lead to a win for the Caps in the score board, I think it is safe to say it was a win for the heart of the Caps fans.
I would have to say that Creepy Gnomes > Cheap Bobble Heads. This guy agrees.
