Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson participate in a charity basketball game over the weekend hosted by his friend and ex-teammate LeSean McCoy. You can check out all the details of the charity even here from Jimmy Kempski of Philly.com. McCoy had the following to say:
“We’re a good group,” said McCoy. “I even got DeSean Jackson. You know what happened. Obviously, he’s not an Eagle anymore, but the friendship and the bond is still there. He supports me in anything that I have, and vice versa. I do the same. I’m just happy to have him here. And all my teammates, I (could) name them all day. They came out to support me. That’s what it’s all about. It starts off the field, bonding together, working as one to get what we really want, and that’s a championship.”
It’s nice that D-Jax came out for the charity, but he wasn’t there just for support, he was there to ball people up. Sounds like the quickness he uses on the field translates well over to the hardwood as he led his team to a two point victory while scoring 42 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 5 assists.
I think for now it might be safe to say that DeSean can tentatively hold the title of best basketball player on the Redskins (let us know if you have a better candidate). I know if there are ever any of those “Which Redskin would make the best Washington Wizards” polls going around that D-Jax is getting my vote. Maybe this guy would give him a run for his money?
