In last night’s Washington Wizards loss to the L.A. Clippers, Blake Griffin was constantly harassed by the defensive duo of Nene and Trevor Booker. His frustrations were starting to show as he went 5-18 from the floor and things were getting chippy between he and both Wizards players defending him. There was lots of pushing and shoving going on and certainly some good acting.
On one of the key plays of the game, Nene grabbed a rebound and tried to clear a little space. As you can see below, courtesy of Truth About It, no contact was made at all with Griffin’s face as he pulls a combination phantom/sniper fire flop and flails to the ground:
If the NBA is going to stay true to their form, we should more than likely be seeing a fine coming down for this lovely acting job by Griffin.
Unfortunately for Wizards fans, Washington went on to get another “moral victory” as they fought back and had a chance to win the game, but ultimately fell 94-87. The loss shouldn’t be blamed on the above play or the refs — although Joey Crawford should have one hell of a highlight reel from this match-up — but moreso on some poor plays in the last 2 minutes and missed free throws down the stretch.
Either way, Blake Griffin is clearly one of those “only like him when he is on your team” type players.

Unreal. F the Clippers and F Fake Griffin
I think Floppers should be Tee’d up! Fine won’t hurt them, they make too much $ and that’s after the fact. They need to do something that will hurt the team if they really want to cut down on the flopping.
I agree! Money means nothing to these guys so something that hurts the team would be better.Maybe go as far as forfeit the game after the first warning.
That may be a little too harsh but they need to do something.
Our main problem in the game was free throws, if we shoot better on the line, we win! We shot only 55% from the line, the clippers shot 67.7% and made 6 more free throws.
The Wizards suck!!!! Plain and Simple. If Blake played for the Wiz you would be loving him. hahaha

At the very least he’ll get fined next time, because you get a warning first (but a warning my have already been given for all we know from a previous flop by him).
I am pretty sure I remember hearing he was already warned earlier in the season..not 100% though.
balke grifffin is a professional flopper!!
