Ted Leonsis continues to blog about sticking together and not making changes. Sometimes I see his blog posts as a slap to the fan, like we don’t know what the real problem with the organization is — the General Manager Ernie Grunfeld.
The media knows it, the bloggers know it, and most importantly the fans know it. The only person at this time who doesn’t seem to know what needs to be done is unfortunately the man calling the shots.
Here are links from around the internet in regards to the Grunfeld situation. Some of these are more recent, and some are from around the time it was announced the Wizards extended Grunfeld. Some are even older than that.

I agree. It’s past time, he should have been gone after the Arenas ordeal and when Blanche failed to step up for sure. The fans of the DMV deserve better
Yeah, no reason he should have a 3rd rebuild attempt. It is rather simple.
Look at the history and direction of the franchise since he has been in charge.
I’m sorry guys, but Bradley Beal, Jan Vasley, Trevor Booker, Kevin Seraphin, Earl Barron and yes even Randy Wittman or anyone else who stands to be a negative contributing factor for the team are all liabilities in my honest opinion. Until they are let go the Wizards will suffer horribly. There is one other person who by the way set this squad up into motion for this years chances of winning even
one game and can’t. I bet You know just who that person is don’t you ? But even If for some unknown reason he is still with the team even after an 0-11 start I think it’s because of the players that gave him a good reputation from the jump who were chosen by him who are positive members that know their jobs and have a healthy contribution to and for the Bullets ! Oh my mistake I meant the Wizards that are on the team now and they know who they are..
Did I say Bullets ! I guess ! I think ! or Did I mean the wizards. But you know what? I don’t believe They are winners as the Wizards until they become the Bullets once again and ah, Ted ! they need their name back buddy so they can be !!!!!!! It’s time to start winning. Its all in the mind, because first you think it, then you say it, then you do it, and my friend the Bullets are winners in my book and the can be again !
If only it was that simple.
I am 1000% on board with the Bullets too!
It’s no fun being a Wizards fan…been a long time since the days of big E & Wes.
how many chances Ted will provide to Ernie?
Sad but when Wall returns & Wiz finally win a few games.
The management will think all’s well.
Other than Wall, we are not rebuilding.
Yep, same song and dance each year. They will win a stretch of games when Wall first returns, Ernie will keep his job. Then they will go on another bad toward the end of the season, but they will win the like 5 of the last 6 and then Ted will sell the fans on how this is part of the plan and you can see Grunfeld’s team taking shape.
Blah, blah, blah. The fans want a new direction for this team.
[...] it Ernie Grunfeld for obliterating the Wizards cap room by trading for Nene and dumping Rashard Lewis for Trevor [...]
[...] It seems like just yesterday that Agent Zero and company were leading us to the playoffs but that was 6 seasons ago and the pain of losing seasons almost seems like par for the course now. But there is one common denominator in this screwed up equation of losing that the Wizards have put together, and that common denominator is Ernie Grunfeld. [...]
